FROM SMART TO WISE: HOW TO INNOVATE & LEAD EFFECTIVELY; Contact: Angelie Aggarwal, Global Logic
Smart people impress us with their intellectual prowess and uncanny ability to achieve their goals. But smartness is not always enough to succeed as a tech innovator, let alone as a tech leader. How does practical wisdom differ from spiritual wisdom? How does practical wisdom build on smartness? In this talk, Author Prasad Kaipa will discuss six capability framework that helps differentiate smart leader from that of wise leadership. Using business leader examples, I will help audience to reflect and introspect their own leadership styles and find pathways for further development. Contact Dr. Nancy Southern. and Radjou propose a new approach to innovation and leadership that extends beyond achieving "smartness." Wise leadership requires cultivating a broader perspective, responding to external events with discernment instead of reacting instinctively, and operating out of a noble purpose to create value for shareholders as well as society. Drawing on their new book From Smart To Wise, they will offer a practical framework for how you can innovate and lead wisely in today's complex tech world.

Secrets of successful entrepreneurs: Why some succeed while many fail?
In this session, I identify what differentiates serial and successful entrepreneurs from others. I had a chance to co-found the TiE Institute for entrepreneurs in silicon valley and interact with large number of entrepreneurs. I also had worked with entrepreneurs and entrepreneur organizations in US, India and Europe and I will share the essence of my learning gained through interviews, coaching, research and personal experience and documented in the upcoming book 'From Smart to Wise.
